Stumbled on this place on a random Friday night and decided to try it. I had several different kinds of tacos, the rice and beans, and really delicious fresh salsa. Everything was SO full of flavor and incredibly fresh! The guy running it was so kind and I’m so happy I stopped there. It’s also really affordable compared to so many places! This is the kind of business that deserves more visibility and support in Anchorage!

I was literally on my bike commuting through midtown Anchorage in the middle of winter when I stumbled upon the alluring food truck of Taqueria Cortez. I decided to take a gander at the menu. After a fun chat with the owner, I couldn’t resist the temptation of trying their tacos. I’m beyond impressed. If a professional food reviewer claimed these tacos are the best in Anchorage—it wouldn’t be an exaggeration. Homemade corn tortillas! The owner is constantly preparing food so it’s fresh, fast, and incredibly delicious. Definitely try Taqueria Cortez because it’s rare to fall in love in Anchorage. I will return with chihuahua!

FANTASTIC MEXICAN FOOD!! I’m a broke college student and honestly this guy has the best quality and quantity I’ve ever seen in Alaska!!! Definitely give this guy a try. I started mackin on this food before I took a pic but it’s BOMB! 5 dollars for a taco is a steal especially around here, and they are also willing to do Birria burrito’s for 15 at most, IN THIS ECONOMY, dude that’s a steal. I can’t say this enough, it’s worth every penny!!

Cute taco truck on my way home. Honey wanted authentic tacos tonight (not the Bell), and saw this gem. Rolled up and the sweetest customer service rep/cashier (Mahalo, Nivia) popped up and took my order. It’s definitely a vibe. Honey said it reminded him of home (Cali). First time here, definitely not the last. And the prices are on point for the quality! Tried to take pics before consumption but didn’t last.

It was a drive up/ food truck and the people running it were very friendly. Our food came quick with no complaints and we even got a free coupon for a free meal when we come back. I got the birria tacos and a side of rice and it was very tasty. I would say it’s a bit light on seasoning but still very good. The sauces were delicious, as well as the rice. Overall, we are definitely coming back next week!

First time coming here and I will definitely be back! We tried the el pastor mini tacos, asada rice bowl and the burrito. No pictures of the food. The food was good that we just kept eating it and forgot to take a picture the owner was so generous and let us try the horchata, guava water and I can’t remember the other one but soooo delicious! I love that the horchata wasn’t heavy but it was very refreshing. I can’t wait to go back and try the Gordita and pozole!
